The Head of Media to the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government and Publisher of The Populist News, Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, has expressed deep appreciation to God and to all individuals and groups who celebrated him on the occasion of his birthday, held on January 8, 2026.
In a statement released on Thursday, Ajibola described the massive goodwill messages, prayers, visits, calls, and public displays of affection as overwhelming and humbling, noting that the experience reaffirmed his belief in the power and importance of quality relationships in human existence.
According to him, the love shown by people from different walks of life brought him immense joy and served as a reminder that genuine relationships remain one of life’s greatest treasures.
Ajibola paid special tribute to his principal, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for his unwavering support and uncommon relationship with him.
He described Hon. Olufade as a leader who relates with him not merely as a media aide, but as a member of his family, adding that such trust and encouragement have greatly shaped his professional journey.
He also expressed profound gratitude to his political leader and mentor, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, for his mentorship and for projecting his media brand to a wider audience.
Ajibola noted that Hon. Bibire played a critical role in showcasing The Populist News to the world, pledging that he would remain forever grateful for the support.
The media executive further appreciated the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for celebrating him, as well as Members of the Federal House of Representatives from Oyo State, Members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Directors, Chairmen of Agencies, Special Advisers and Special Assistants to Governor Seyi Makinde, alongside the Executive Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the 33 Local Governments in Oyo State for their goodwill messages.
Ajibola extended his appreciation to the Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants, management, and entire staff of Ibadan North Local Government, as well as the PDP family in Ibadan North Local Government under the leadership of its Chairman, Comrade Mustafa. He also thanked Ward 12 of Ibadan North Local Government for their remarkable show of love and solidarity.
He did not fail to acknowledge his colleagues in the media industry and his classmates from Tunmise Children School, Bodija, Ibadan ;Methodist Grammar School, Oju Irin, Bodija, Ibadan; Alex Commercial Secondary School, Idua, Eket, Akwa Ibom State; University of Calabar, Crossriver State; University of Ibadan, Ibadan; Institute of Journalism, Abuja; and Lead City University, Ibadan, for remembering him on the special day.
Ajibola further appreciated all political parties in Oyo State, including forthcoming 2027 political aspirants across party lines, for their messages of goodwill.
